Yes, but choose smooth fabrics. Latex creates high friction against cotton or wool, which can cause the coat to bunch up. Wear silk, satin, or thin synthetic layers underneath to allow the coat to slide into place easily. This also protects the interior of the latex from being damaged by rough fabric fibers.
To allow for movement and layering. Unlike a catsuit, a coat shouldn't be skin-tight. You need extra "ease" in the shoulders and armpits to move your arms freely. If you plan to wear it closed over other clothes, ordering one size up ensures the buttons or zippers won't pop under tension.
Use wide-shouldered, padded hangers. A full-length latex coat can be quite heavy ($2kg+$). Thin wire hangers will permanently stretch the shoulder area or cause the material to tear. Use a heavy-duty padded hanger and store it inside an opaque breathable garment bag to protect it from dust and UV light.
Isolate metal to prevent "bronzing." Metal buckles and buttons can react with latex, causing permanent brown stains. When storing, wrap all metal hardware in acid-free tissue paper or plastic film. For zippers, apply a small amount of silicone-based zipper lube to keep the action smooth and prevent snagging.
