It's a balance between aesthetics and ease. A Front Zip is the most practical for independent dressing. A Back Zip provides a seamless look on the front but usually requires assistance. Neck Entry (zipperless) offers the most "second-skin" aesthetic and is more durable, but requires significant lubrication and technique to "wiggle" into.
Never use fingernails and use plenty of lube. Use the pads of your fingers or your palms to "massage" the material up your body. Apply silicone dressing aid to both your skin and the inside of the suit. If you feel resistance, stop and redistribute the material rather than pulling harder. Wearing cotton gloves can provide a safer grip.
The "Vertical Trunk" or "Body Loop." This is the measurement from the shoulder, through the crotch, and back to the same shoulder. If this is too short, the suit will pull painfully at the shoulders and crotch; if too long, it will sag. Unlike fabric, latex does not stretch vertically as easily as it does horizontally.
Look for a "Crotch Zipper" option. For long-duration wear, choose a suit with a 2-way or 3-way zipper through the crotch. Hygiene-wise, latex is non-breathable, so sweat will accumulate. You must wash the suit inside and out with pH-neutral soap immediately after use to remove skin oils and sweat salts that can rot the material.
