Front Zip is best for independence; Neck Entry for the best fit. Front Zip allows you to dress alone easily. Back Zip provides a cleaner chest look but requires a partner or a pull-cord. Neck Entry (zipperless) is the gold standard for a "second skin" feeling and durability, but it requires significant flexibility and plenty of lube to "wiggle" into.
Shaving and silicone barrier are essential. Latex grips hair, making movement painful. It is highly recommended to shave or trim body hair. Use an excessive amount of silicone-based dressing aid to create a glide layer. Since latex doesn't breathe, sweat will accumulate; the lube helps prevent skin irritation and keeps the suit from "sticking" uncomfortably.
The "Vertical Trunk" or "Body Loop." This measures from the shoulder, through the crotch, and back to the shoulder. If this is too short, the suit will pull painfully on the shoulders and groin. Unlike women's suits, men's suits need extra room in the shoulders and chest to allow for arm movement without tearing the armpit seams.
Opt for a 2-way or 3-way crotch zipper. Unless you plan on taking the whole suit off, a crotch zipper is a necessity for long-duration wear. High-quality suits offer "stealth" or hidden zippers. Always ensure the zipper area is well-lubricated to prevent the slider from catching skin or hair.
